I just did quite a bit of search for easy to use, easy to maintain and fast CMS and gpEasy appears to be the best. I tried Get Simple CMS and it simply did not compare in usability (both at web browser level and internal management).

A huge piece of good work. Thank you!!! And the most important - free and flat file storage.

Practical, easy to extend, reliable. I have designed web sites for various purposes and used many scripts - ranging from such complicated ones as Newscoop, e107, Wordpress and Moodle to such simple ones as LightNEasy. gpEasy is "simply" the best among so many "lite" CMS scripts I have used so far. I strongly recommend this script (visit www.dildersleri.gen.tr to see it in action).

An amazing mini CMS... use it if you want to quickly set-up a decent site (especially on free domain hosting sites with no data base support). You really don't need the mysql etc luxuries to have a decent web presence... (I wish there were more themes and tricks available jquery etc)
GREAT WORK, thank you guys!

Its real awesome cms. Maximal user-frendly admin-panel. Very speed system for small and middle promo-sites.

I just wanted to point this out. I'm stunned. gpEasy rocks!
After months of testing different small CMS and just 2 days after starting with gpEasy my impression solely is: THIS ONE IS SECOND TO NONE IN IT'S CLASS!
The in-page editing ist intuitive and straight-forward and well suited for non-techy minds.
Almost all you need to manage a small website ist here and it's just the expected one or two clicks away. Great - 5 Stars!

Hmm... gpEasy reminds me a little of what Zimplit originally promised it would be, but without the part where its makers offer to let people run it on their own server, but, in actuality, kinda' not really wanting that so much after all...

...and so, then, without all of the nuttiness that you'd expect from a situation like that.

Zimplit's downloadable, run-on-your-own-server version is encoded with stuff which one has to change remove in order to stop it from "phoning home" to Zimplit's servers; and it's poorly documented, etc.

Don't get me wrong, Ziplit's nice. But, in the end, it's kinda' almost best run from Zimplit's servers, the way Zimplit's maker seems to prefer things.

gpEasy's maker, though, seems -- and I'd have to actually install epEasy and see if I'm correct about this, but its maker at least SEEMS -- to be more far more straightforward, up-front and helpful, just generally.

Interesting. If one needed a very light-weight product of this type, one, it at least SEEMS, would be well-advised to give this one a try.

Great job!!
I am really impressed of what the authors have made. It is really one of best CMS that do not need mysql to work.

gpEasy 2.1 has taken a major step for users. The new inline true wysiwyg editing is a big plus--now you see exactly how the page will look while editing. Not to mention the new page sections which make adding galleries, gadgets, other pages, etc., right into a page very easy to do.

gpEasy has become a very full featured CMS while remaining very easy to use. A+

Superb lightweight WCM. Surprisinglying powerful for a light, no-database WCM.

It manages multiple levels of navigation in a nested manner. It can also handle different menu structures in the same site, which is unique in this sector of the market.

The in-line editing for editors is excellent and intuitive to use. It also manages plug-ins and image galleries. It also has a content repository for managing files and images.

There are plug-ins for blogs, etc, although there is scope to develop more advance plug-ins in the future.

It is easy to control permissions for different users, which is very unusual but very helpful for a small business or local organisation where multiple people may need to update the site but may have limited technical skills.

There are a number of themes/templates to use but it is not difficult for a more technical person to adapt a theme or template to create a bespoke page design. Or create a new theme.

Installation is quick and easy to perform.

Overall, this is an excellent WCMS for a small business or organisation. It is particularly good for organisations with several updaters or users looking for a site with more than 1 level of navigation. The user interface is very slick and professional easy to use. It has many features that are not usually found in this sector of the WCM market but it has been scaled down very intelligently for small websites.

This is perfect! I've been searching for MONTH for a cms suitable for my mom, and now she's happily adding text and pictures to her page, and can even change the menu structure herself.
And on top of that, I had no problem crating a complete new template, it's so easy!

Excellent CMS which matches its description. i.e. EASY, perfectly. I recently set it up as starter system for an inexperienced client and was delighted with the progress, as was the client. I would have no hesitation to highly recommend gpEasy.
Posted By: Kevyn on February 22 2011 06:01 am
I'd really like to see an option to put the floating menu as a menu bar across the top of the screen where it could remain at all times, and an easy way to use/insert contact forms
Posted By: GoodBikes & Bicis.es on February 16 2011 02:41 pm
IT FANTASTIC !! ... would be nominated for a Medall

Thanks for, so light, so easy, so intuitive,.. is posible made a excepcional web page in minutes

in hour if you dont know him the first time.

Another day of testing and i am sold on gpEasy.
GetSimple and CMSfS have lost. Considering that this is still a Beta version is really amazing. Concrete5 is the only system which is very roughly compareable from the handling. However, i am not willing to pay the penalty of having a CMS which is bigger than the site it manages :-).
Posted By: Siegbert on February 14 2011 10:34 am
Really GREAT CMS. The new Beta 2.0b2 I've tested today comes with Sections of Content and a really WYSIWYG Looks & Feel.
I've tested many CMS before.
But gpEasy CMS is from now my personally favourite of all them.
Posted By: Tobias on February 12 2011 09:43 am
Wow. The user experience is amazing.

I am currently testing a few flat database CSMs for a small website, and gpEasy has the nicest user experience so far.

It is a matter of taste if one likes the idea of completely integrating the Admin functionality with the user view. I think it's brillinat, as you anyhow always have to check: How does it look. So direct editing makes perfect sense for me.

The only danger here is, that you add too much formatting directly with your "content" instead of separating that in a style-sheet.

So a fully integrated style-sheet editor and "hints" in the editor what styles are already defined would be a great improvement

Definetely worth a try!

Just want to say thanks so much for an amazing cms. I normally use Joomla or Wordpress for my sites. They are wonderful but the clients find it difficult to manage the pages. I have been playing with GPeasy and it looks like a winner that will satisfy the needs of most clients and allow them to easily add and update their content. Thanks again!!!

gpEasy is like Drupal but without a database and much advanced features than what I see in drupal. I Love it!!!!!
Posted By: Viorin on December 11 2010 03:36 pm
Very simple, easy to use {for admin's and publisher's] and powerful. Users roles are very flexible. Thank's developers.

Yes, great CMS. I made my website (link collection) with this without reading any help file or tutorial.

Great lite CMS! Powerful and simple, I love it!
Posted By: Yossi Schwartz on November 10 2010 01:26 am
GPeasy is the best lite CMS I found.
I installed 8 different systems, including wordpress, jumla, and more. I have found this system very easy to adopt, change and integrate into my website. I would definitely recommend using this system mainly for a small size websites, company websites, along with free or bought HTML designed templates.

Best lite CMS! Much better than others (GetSimple, Pluck...). Very impressed!

Great product CMS : small, quick and simple to create a web site. Excellent product.

Thanks to team developer's.

Gpeasy has actualy turned out better than Getsimple. I used to use Gpeasy at first for the smaller jobs, but didn't agree that it was SEO friendly, so I turned to Getsimple for the fact of it's excellent SEO features, now since Gpeasy's new dev, it has turned out to have all of the SEO features that Getsimple has, but is actualy better for building websites, so I have since reverted back to Gpeasy. It's Excellent.

I absolutely love gpEasy. I downloaded it earlier today and within 10 minutes I was able to create my own theme. Now, hours later, I have a small, completely functional site with a custom contact form and everything! Since each of the pages within gpEasy are actual files, they're easy to customize to fit your needs.

Meta tags can be added per page in the new beta, though Google doesnt care about meta tags when ranking sites/pages anymore, a little bit to late.

First time to write in this site! I am excited i found recently! These technologies is the future!
4 stars for 'gp' because there are some bugs with editor icons. But it is almost perfect: minimal, with a lot of templates, no DB required, only 2-3 MB. I set up a site in a couple of hours! Congratulations to the developers!
Posted By: R. Luiten on July 22 2010 09:14 am
I like this system, but the demo is not sufficient. Without a set of images it is not possible to create a gallery by example.

Also missing are extra options per page, like metatags and links between (content)pages by a friendly linkmanager.

Wow, that was fast, they have updated the blog plugin to allow for comments, what an amazing flat file CMS.

Awesome light CMS
Best of the lights

This seems to be very promising. I haven't actually tried it on my server yet but I can't wait to do so. Thank you so much for this and I wish you more success.

Just downloaded, unzipped and installed. Wow. I'm impressed. I will keep working with it. Seems great so far.

I like this cms. I was able to drop it in and start using it.

Unlike most PHP cms', I was able to use this on my IIS hosting with PHP, where I wasn't able to use wordpress.

Top little cms, I think out of gpeasy, pluck & getsimple, this is the champ, though I hope they upgrade the blog to allow comments, that is realy all that is missing, but going by the new guest book plugin created, looks like commenting on the blog will be included soon (pluck is the only one out of the 3 that allow for comments on the blog, getsimple doesnt even have a blog mod) they even have a minishop plugin, though rather simple, ecommerce it is not, but this tells me that this is the beggining of great things to come. It uses recapture as an option for human verification when sending a contact email. Thanks to the author/s & keep up the good work.

With gpEasy it is very easy to enhance the System. It comes with a nice Addon Feature which is easy to use and programming for.
I should it know, because I'm not a php Programmer but managed to write a plugin for it :-)

One suggestion. The option to choose different languages in frontend.

I know itâ??s complicated to have several languages when we donâ??t have a DB but you could implement a solution to display different flags linked to different installations and, maybe, call the different pages of each language to one master page. Just my two cents for an already very interesting little and simple CMS.
Posted By: azevedo on March 14 2010 07:03 pm
Very promising. The code is clean and objective.

But as a webdesigner my biggest complain is the unfriendly options for personalization. I think thatâ??s a problem in almost every CMS around. It seems all of them are made by programmers for programmers, design is always too basic.
Posted By: Really slim and easy! on March 9 2010 10:06 am
All the basics are there.....
Posted By: Alford on February 7 2010 10:46 am
Great little CMS, very easy to use and setup and runs fast on most servers.

Keep up the great job......no bugs on this end !!!!!

Great CMS. Took a little work to get running on my home server, but the author is more than willing to help out, and sorted all the bugs I found out quickly. Go to authors website to get updated rc4 version. Fixed quite a few annoying bugs.

Looks nice, but what is that file manager all about, confused the hell out me, the ideas are great, smooth and carried out well, but I can't help feel confused by some of it.

I get the impression I would spend more time going wow, and playing with stuff rather than actually getting anything done.

I think this would be awesome if some of the usability was tidied up, it needs to be a bit more logical, people need to be gently guided through things.

I switched off after the file manager, real nice, but confusing as hell, can i only upload so many files, as there only seems to be so many slots, what are those slots and how does this fit in with directories, and file structure?? and what is a hidden page, or a special file.

I think the jquery integration is good, I am playing with this at present.

Paul
