About Hotaru CMS
Hotaru CMS is a free open source content management software written in PHP that uses a MySQL database to store information. Its most common use is for social bookmarking and its features make it similar to Digg or Reddit. Some examples of features include bookmarking, RSS feed, voting on content and private messaging. However, the list of features can be extended by installing one of the plugins available, or by creating your own. What’s more, Hotaru CMS is described as a plugin-based CMS that allows you to create any type of website, from blogs and directories to forums or personal websites.
