CPG15x has Major improvements since CPG14x. Install was much easier and the configuration makes better sense now, although the settings have not changed much. Only found one bug and I'm not yet sure what the issue is yet. Overall I like Coppermine... again.

Developers / Support is a complete joke. How they can even call it support is a mystery to me. They really are extremely unpleasant (very strongly abusive with their users) and unhelpful.
The user interface, even in later versions is also an absolute joke. Getting even the simplest things done is an enormous chore with the insanely unintuitive controls. It's as though everything has been done for the ease of the developer, not the user and to hell with any ease-of-use considerations.
Unless you need some feature that exists in Coppermine that cannot be found elsewhere, I would avoid it if possible.
Am seriously considering installing Gallery for the sake of my mental health and that of my users and starting again.

Very capable system, although rather ugly interface. Biggest issue is that the support team is perhaps the most obnoxious team of developers you will every meet. You are banned from their forum if you ask a question they don't like or even if you ask a question they think has already been asked.

Ugly interface, buggy sometimes. Hard to customize, ugly themes.
The support forum is very unfriendly.

simple interface, buggy to add images and ugly themes.. need more changes...
I do not know what to say. LOL
need more functions that embellish the gallery, even a simple "lightbox" but does not bring anything, is a rather horrible pop-up.
may not be able to basically do not bring anything, we should be adding plugins. but equally thus adding plugins interface is horrible.

OMG, I've spent 3 nights to set up this version and I wanted to smash my computer...
I spent an half an hour to configure, and next time when I changed a theme, I have to configure all over again in next half an hour.
Pictures are opening in a pop-up, comments won't work at all (I write a comment and an error massage said: You need to type your name and a comment! WTF?!).
Views doesn't count, etc etc...
Horror!

If you don't have time to learn the lousy interface. Install Gallery. Its way easier to configure and setup.

liked coppermine a lot, but as layout and functions are not properly seperated, it's very hard to customize your layout.

I redesigned my CPG gallery, and added code to prevent comment spam (am I human box), improved the visibility of my voting and made it simpler, and added a box for myspace codes. It was a little tough with Coppermine, but I got it done.

I'm running Coppermine for one photo gallery and it is working ok. I prefer Gallery 2 though. Many hosts offer one-click installation with Fantastico, so it's easy to give it a try.

I am having issues with coppermine not being particularly search engine friendly, I have the SEF options maxed out but it is still not indexing as well as i would like in google and other engines, has anyone got any ideas on how to make it better?... I am getting to the point where i may have to try something new.

everytime you instal a cms, imagegalery, etc, first check if it has security vulns up to date, because if it has vulns then hackers may be a BIG problem, this happend to me before with imagevue galery

Awesome script, many themes available. It uses valid code, and got many settings. It runs fast, even on less quick servers, and uses it's resources better than Gallery2.

Great gallery with very useful modules and features. IMHO this gallery still need to have some cute and professional design template if they don't want G2 to lead in front.

I have to admit, at first I thought it would be just another phpbb ripoff, but it has some really nice abilities and features. I'd recommend this to anyone with a brain.

I am searching for a software package that will do a link between thumbnails and larger images and also construct an html that I can upload a web page. You can see this at http://kcsweb.kcstar.com/projects/Community_Faces/
Will Coppermine do that?
Thank you, Dick Ross

Coppermine Gallery is a great gallery software. It's really easy to use, bug free and integrates easily to many popular open source forums. There are many layouts available, the only one problem with them that not many of them have that good, professionally designed look.

i liked coppermine a lot, but as layout and functions are not properly seperated, it's very hard to customize your layout.
after a year i moved to pixelpost, which has a very clean code architecture and the layout is customizable nearly without limits.

This galleri plays in a league of its own. There is no competition to this galleri. I've been using it for almost a year and its flawless.
The admin pages are a bit messy but when get used to it the power of it is, although limited, unmatched.
If you are looking for a good, flexible and advanced gallery this is it. The other galleries I've tried has always failed in one way or other. May it be the fileupload or some other part, but where they fail Coppermine stands out as the winner!
A truly magnificent piece of webbapplication. Mark my words!
