OpenGoo is the former name of Feng Office, which is an open source collaboration platform that offers similar features as G Suite, Microsoft Office Live, Zimbra, LibreOffice Online and Zoho Office Suite. OpenGoo first started as a degree project at the faculty of Engineering of the University of the Republic, Uruguay, when software engineers Marcos Saiz and Ignacio de Soto chose it as a subject for their degree thesis. After the thesis got the highest score, they founded the OpenGoo community which currently still supports and develops the product alongside Feng Office. On December 2009 the OpenGoo name was changed to Feng Office Community Edition.
Currently there is a second project for OpenGoo at the same University started by Fernando Rodríguez, Ignacio Vázquez and Juan Pedro del Campo who want to build an open source Web-based spreadsheet. If you want to get a complete review of OpenGoo features you can check our Feng Office page. If you’re interested in how an OpenGoo demo works you can sign up for a free trial on the official website page of Feng Office. Our Feng Office page will also give you an idea of how OpenGoo features have evolved and you can see a preview of how the admin demo looks like today and how you can customize an online demo using themes.
It’s important to remember that OpenGoo is not live anymore and is superseded by Feng Office. Follow the link to find out more information about OpenGoo (currently Feng Office).
